A Functional MEGA 1581 Prototype is ALIVE!

A MEGA 1581 prototype was shown at our booth at the VCF Midwest 2025 show a few weeks ago.   We've been patiently waiting for the MEGA 65 team to finish their development of their expansion board which will allow an external drive to be connected to the MEGA 65.  In the meantime, we've created a version that uses the IEC serial interface of the MEGA 65.

This is a fully functioning prototype that differs only in that some of the internal electronics are not developed into production PCBs.  The drive functionality is identical to our original BitBinders 1581 drives.

We are currently gauging interest in this device before proceeding into full production.  Let us know if this is of interest to you!
